Top 7 Best Baby Sleep Consultants in Windsor, Canada (2026)

Mother rocking her sleeping baby overlooking the Ambassador Bridge at dusk, guide to baby sleep consultants in Windsor

If you are looking for the best baby sleep consultants in Windsor, start with a simple fact: Windsor-Essex has one dedicated paediatric sleep consultant of its own, a registered social worker who coaches families virtually and in their homes. Around her sits a useful circle of local help, including a team of registered nurse lactation consultants who visit homes from LaSalle to Leamington, a certified postpartum doula and an Ontario doula collective that offers overnight shifts.

We built this guide by working through every provider we could verify who genuinely serves Windsor, from South Walkerville and the downtown core to LaSalle, Tecumseh, Lakeshore, Amherstburg and the county towns, comparing credentials, published prices, methods and who each option is honestly best for. Search results here are crowded with Windsor in England and with Detroit practices across the river that only work in Michigan, so we checked the country and service area on every provider’s own site. Below: six options worth a discovery call, an app based alternative for the long stretch, and a clear answer on what a video call can fix and what needs someone in the house.

Quick Answer

Windsor has one local certified sleep consultant: Tired Mama Consulting charges 180 to 650 Canadian dollars, including an in-home plan. Ontario virtual options include Baby’s Peaceful Sleep, a registered social worker charging 175 to 1,000 Canadian dollars with insurance-friendly billing, and Good Night Sleep Site at 99 to 697 Canadian dollars. For feeding, The Informed Moms nurses charge 75 to 200 Canadian dollars per visit. For hands-on help, The Golden Hour Doula runs 30 to 35 Canadian dollars an hour and the Collaborative Doula Collective offers overnight shifts at 400 Canadian dollars a night plus HST. App-based alternatives like Betteroo deliver ongoing personalised plans for 20 to 35 Canadian dollars per month.

How Windsor Parents Are Actually Sleeping in 2026

Before we get to the consultants, the local picture. As part of Betteroo’s State of Parent & Baby Sleep 2026, the largest dataset of its kind with 83,901 parents across 118 countries, we wanted to show you Windsor-specific numbers. We do not yet have a clean Windsor-only sample above our reporting threshold, so the figures below draw on our Canada numbers instead. They still tell a clear story about what families across the country are living through.

Numbers like these land hard in a border city where so many parents work shifts at the assembly plants, cross the bridge or the tunnel for hospital and office jobs in Detroit, or drive in from the greenhouse towns around Leamington and Kingsville. That makes it worth knowing which of the options below will actually come out to Lakeshore or Amherstburg, and which ones only need a decent Wi-Fi connection.

Full transparency: Betteroo is our product. We have included it on this list because we genuinely think it is the best option for parents who want ongoing personalised support without the price tag of a full consultancy package. The other six picks are established options we would send our own friends to.

How We Picked the Best Windsor Sleep Consultants

We looked at every option for baby sleep consultants in Windsor with verifiable credentials, an active practice in 2026, and a track record of working with families across Windsor, LaSalle, Tecumseh, Lakeshore, Amherstburg, Kingsville and Leamington. To make this list, a consultant had to meet four criteria:

  • Certified or formally trained in paediatric sleep, typically through recognised sleep consultant programmes or equivalent clinical credentials (registered nurse or midwife, public health nurse, IBCLC, or a recognised gentle sleep certification).
  • Active Windsor-area practice with availability in 2026, or a virtual practice that explicitly works with families anywhere in Canada (we excluded consultants who have moved away or wound down their practice).
  • Transparent methodology, meaning they describe their approach upfront rather than hiding it behind a sales call.
  • Real client outcomes backed by reviews, testimonials, or media coverage we could verify.

We started from a list of more than twenty Windsor, Essex County, Chatham-Kent, Toronto and online sleep consultants, doulas, lactation consultants and night nanny listings, then narrowed on those four criteria. Several names did not make the cut. Two well known Metro Detroit sleep practices that surface for Windsor searches limit themselves to Metro Detroit and Michigan towns on their own sites, so we left them out, and other results turned out to be in Windsor, England. A Windsor-Essex postpartum doula with good credentials shows no prices and no sign of recent activity on her site, a twin feeding specialist does not state where she works, and an Alberta nursing agency that names Essex County publishes no prices. Directory listings for Windsor sleep coaches and night nannies without their own websites were also left out.

We did not accept payment, affiliate commissions, or sponsorship from any consultant on this list. Each pick reflects what we would recommend if a friend in Windsor asked us where to start.

1. Tired Mama Consulting, Best Overall for Windsor Families

Tired Mama Consulting is Danielle Cyrenne, a Windsor mum of two who is both a certified paediatric sleep consultant and a registered social worker. She earned her Master of Social Work at Wayne State University in 2016 and has more than ten years of counselling experience with children and families, and she also works as a perinatal mental health clinician. Her sessions run through Nest Haven Family Wellness on Amy Croft Drive, a family wellness centre she founded. Her site does not name the academy that certified her as a sleep consultant, so ask on your first call. She supports babies, toddlers and older children, and she offers seminars for expecting parents and parents in the first year.

Her Tired Mama Method is attachment-informed and built from scratch for each family, with no single protocol and the full range of approaches on the table, matched to your child’s temperament and your own capacity. Prices are published. A 50 minute virtual single problem consultation without a written plan is 180 Canadian dollars. The Virtual 1:1 package is 450 Canadian dollars, with an intake form, two 30 minute calls, a written plan, two follow-up calls and two weeks of unlimited email. The In-Home package is 650 Canadian dollars and adds a two hour consultation in your home. Toddler support is 380 Canadian dollars, and her site notes that extended health benefits may cover her work.

Best for: Windsor parents who want a local, certified consultant with a mental health background, a plan that respects attachment, and the option of a visit in their own home.

2. Baby’s Peaceful Sleep, Best Virtual Option with Insurance-Friendly Billing

Baby’s Peaceful Sleep is Aisha Wovenu, a certified baby and toddler sleep consultant with a newborn and infant sleep certification, who is also a registered social worker with a Master of Social Work and works as a mental health therapist. Her site does not name a home city or the programme behind her certification. It says support is provided virtually to families in Ontario, British Columbia and Nova Scotia, so she works with Windsor families remotely, by video or phone. She describes a responsive, family-centred approach with gentle, evidence-informed solutions rather than a rigid method, and every package starts with a free 20 minute discovery call.

Her prices are published without a currency code, and because she serves only Canadian provinces we read them as Canadian dollars. The Peaceful Sleep Consultation is 175 Canadian dollars for a one hour call, aimed at regressions, travel, nap transitions and daycare starts for children aged 4 months to 5 years. The All Inclusive Peaceful Sleep Package is 850 Canadian dollars, with an evaluation, a personalised programme, a one hour plan call, night one text support, two weeks of text support and four phone check-ins. The Newborn Peaceful Sleep Package starts at 1,000 Canadian dollars and runs to four months. Every package lists insurance-friendly billing.

Best for: Windsor parents who want a certified consultant with a counselling background, are happy to work entirely by video, and hope to claim the cost through extended health benefits.

3. Good Night Sleep Site, Best Established Online Team

Good Night Sleep Site was founded in 2007 by Alanna McGinn, who is based in Toronto and certified through The Family Sleep Institute. Her site says every member of the team holds that certification, which it describes as a six month programme of more than 250 hours of training, and that the team supports clients around the world. Support is online and programme based, organised by age from newborn to adult, so Windsor families work with the team remotely on exactly the same terms as anyone in Toronto. Alanna hosts the This Girl Loves Sleep podcast, wrote This Baby Loves Sleep, and is a mother of three, including twins.

Prices are published in Canadian dollars. The DIY Online Baby Sleep Training E-Course is 99 Canadian dollars and includes a guidebook of more than 90 pages, audio lessons and first-year schedules, which suits parents who can carry out a plan on their own. The SOS 1:1 Baby Sleep Program is 697 Canadian dollars for two weeks with a Good Night Sleep Site consultant, and includes a one hour consultation, a customised plan, four 15 minute follow-up calls, unlimited text and email support and daily online sleep logs. Separate programmes cover newborns and toddlers. It is the most structured option here, so ask how much crying to expect.

Best for: Windsor families who want a long-established, certified team with clear age-based programmes, or a low-cost self-guided course before paying for one-to-one help.

4. The Informed Moms, Best Feeding Support from RN and IBCLC Home Visits

The Informed Moms is a team of three registered nurses who are also International Board Certified Lactation Consultants: Sarah Hucker, a University of Windsor nursing graduate who became an IBCLC in 2021, Kayla Lefrancois, an obstetrics nurse since 2017 who is on a short maternity leave, and Sarah Lopez, a nurse since 2006 and an IBCLC since 2011 with a master’s in nursing. Be clear about what they do: they are not sleep consultants. They fix feeding, which sits behind a large share of early night wakings, and their site lists Windsor, LaSalle, Amherstburg, Harrow, Tecumseh, Belle River, Stoney Point, Essex, Cottam, Kingsville and Leamington.

Prices are published. An in-home lactation consult is 200 Canadian dollars and covers a full feeding assessment, latch and positioning help, a weight check and oral motor assessment, pump flange fitting, a bottle feeding assessment and two weeks of email follow-up. An in-home follow-up is 125 Canadian dollars, a 30 minute virtual consult is 75 Canadian dollars, and an exclusive pumping consult is 150 Canadian dollars. Prenatal feeding classes are 100 Canadian dollars per couple at Nest Haven, and lactation after loss counselling is free. They offer evening and weekend appointments and provide receipts for benefits plans, which in Ontario often cover IBCLC visits.

Best for: Windsor-Essex parents whose night wakings start with latch, supply, pumping or bottle questions, and families who want a nurse to weigh the baby at home before buying a sleep plan.

5. The Golden Hour Doula, Best Postpartum Doula for Daytime Help

The Golden Hour Doula is Amber, a Windsor mum of one and a birth and postpartum doula certified through Doula School Canada, who also works as a birth photographer and runs birth pool rentals. Her site lists Windsor, Tecumseh, Lakeshore, Amherstburg, LaSalle, Belle River, Kingsville, Leamington, Harrow and Comber. Be clear about what she does: postpartum doula care, not sleep training. Support runs until babies are six months old and covers your recovery, feeding, learning infant care, regular mental health check-ins, light household help with laundry, meals and older children, and practical tips for infant sleep, gas and soothing. She says she supports families with twins and triplets.

Prices are published plus HST. The Just Enough package is 600 Canadian dollars for 20 daytime hours with a prenatal planning visit, and A Little More is 1,300 Canadian dollars for 40 day or evening hours, with ongoing phone, video and text support in both. Extra hours are 30 Canadian dollars by day, 35 Canadian dollars in the evening and 25 Canadian dollars virtually, and she offers payment plans and discounts for different family situations. Her site states plainly that overnight support is not offered at this time, so she suits families who need daytime help and sleep for the parent rather than someone to take the night feeds.

Best for: Windsor-Essex parents in the first months, including twin families, who want a certified doula at home during the day so they can nap, heal and learn the basics with support.

6. Collaborative Doula Collective, Best for Overnight Newborn Support

The Collaborative Doula Collective is an Ontario-wide network of doulas founded by Amy Silva in London, and its own site has a Chatham-Kent, Windsor and Essex County page listing the doulas who cover this corner of the province. That roster includes a postpartum doula who writes that she has a special love for overnight support, and a doula who is also a perinatal therapist. Be clear about what this is: postpartum doula care, not sleep training. The regional page gives first names and short bios but not each doula’s certification or home town, so ask who would be matched with your family and what training they hold before you sign.

The reason it is on a sleep list is the overnight shift, which no other Windsor-Essex provider we verified offers. A single eight hour overnight shift is 400 Canadian dollars plus HST, with packages of 10, 20 and 30 nights at a small discount, and the doula handles night feeds, nappy changes and soothing so you can sleep. Daytime shifts are 180 Canadian dollars for four hours, a 25 hour postpartum package is 1,125 Canadian dollars, and extra hours are 45 Canadian dollars, all plus HST, with a four hour minimum visit. Travel beyond 50 kilometres carries a mileage charge, which matters for Kingsville and Leamington families.

Best for: Windsor parents of newborns who simply need someone to take the night so they can sleep, including families recovering from a hard birth with no relatives nearby.

7. Betteroo, Best App-Based Alternative

Full transparency: Betteroo is our product, so we have included it here for comparison but encourage you to evaluate it alongside the other options.

The biggest gap with hiring a sleep consultant, even a great one, is that the engagement ends. You get a plan, you get a few weeks of follow-up, and then you are on your own. But baby sleep doesn’t stop changing. Regressions hit at 4, 8, 12, and 18 months. Nap transitions arrive whether you are ready or not. Travel, illness, daycare, a new sibling: every change resets the picture, and most families end up rebuilding their plan from scratch each time.

Betteroo is built differently. It’s designed to stick with you, adapting to your baby and your situation as both evolve, with built-in tracking, insights tailored to your family, and ongoing personalised guidance instead of a one-time intervention. The idea is that you shouldn’t need to hire a new consultant every time something changes, or piece together advice from books, forums, and Instagram at 3am when something new comes up.

It also factors in you: how you are doing, your bandwidth, your comfort level with different approaches, not just your baby. Because a plan that assumes you are operating at full capacity isn’t useful when you are running on three hours of broken sleep. For Windsor parents juggling plant shifts and bridge commutes to Detroit, that’s often the difference between a plan that works and one that gets abandoned by week two.

A common path we see from Windsor families: they start with Betteroo for the day-to-day support and personalised plan, and book a one-hour call with a consultant like Tired Mama Consulting or Baby’s Peaceful Sleep if they hit a specific roadblock that needs a human in the loop. That combination tends to cost less than a full in-home package and gives you ongoing support long after the consultant call wraps up.

Best for: Families who want ongoing personalised support that evolves with them through every regression, nap transition, and life change, rather than a one-time consultant engagement.

What to know: An app can’t replace having an experienced human in your home during the hardest nights. If your baby has medical complexity, or you know you do better with hands-on coaching, hire a consultant. For most families’ day-to-day sleep questions, an adaptive app does the job, and keeps doing it as your baby grows.

For a deeper look at how Betteroo compares to other app-based approaches like Huckleberry, Pampers Sleep Coach, and Taking Cara Babies, see our full review of the best sleep training apps for babies.

Where Windsor Baby Sleep Consultants Are Based

Only one sleep consultant here is based in Windsor itself, and her pin sits at Nest Haven in the east end. Good Night Sleep Site’s pin is in Toronto, where the team is run from, and Baby’s Peaceful Sleep is virtual only with no published home city, so its pin sits just outside downtown Windsor as a stand-in. The Informed Moms and the Collaborative Doula Collective are mobile and do not publish a base address, so their pins sit in south Windsor and the town of Essex, inside the areas their own sites list.

Downtown, Walkerville, South Windsor and the west end

Inside the city, from downtown and Walkerville out to South Windsor, Sandwich and the streets around the University of Windsor, Tired Mama Consulting is the local sleep specialist and can come to your home on her in-home package. The Informed Moms and The Golden Hour Doula both list Windsor for home visits, and the Collaborative Doula Collective covers the city for overnight shifts. For coaching alone, Good Night Sleep Site and Baby’s Peaceful Sleep cost the same wherever you live.

Tecumseh, Lakeshore and Belle River

East along the lake through Tecumseh, Lakeshore and Belle River, families are close to Nest Haven, where Tired Mama Consulting sees clients and The Informed Moms run their prenatal feeding classes. The Informed Moms list Tecumseh, Belle River and Stoney Point for home visits, and The Golden Hour Doula names Tecumseh, Lakeshore, Belle River and Comber. Confirm travel for any in-person visit, and use the virtual options for routine coaching.

LaSalle, Amherstburg, Kingsville and Leamington

South and west toward the Detroit River and out to the county towns, The Informed Moms list LaSalle, Amherstburg, Harrow, Essex, Cottam, Kingsville and Leamington, and The Golden Hour Doula covers the same towns. The Collaborative Doula Collective charges mileage beyond 50 kilometres, so ask before booking overnights in Leamington. For sleep coaching itself, the three consultants on this list all work virtually, which is often the easiest route from the far end of the county.

How Much Do Windsor Baby Sleep Consultants Cost?

Pricing around Windsor sits below Toronto for local providers, while the Ontario-wide virtual teams charge the same wherever you live. Expect roughly:

All six publish prices. Tired Mama Consulting charges 180 to 650 Canadian dollars, Baby’s Peaceful Sleep 175 to 1,000 Canadian dollars and Good Night Sleep Site 99 to 697 Canadian dollars. The Informed Moms charge 75 to 200 Canadian dollars per visit, The Golden Hour Doula 600 to 1,300 Canadian dollars for packages, and the Collaborative Doula Collective 400 Canadian dollars per overnight shift plus HST. Two Windsor specific things to ask: whether your extended health benefits cover a registered social worker or an IBCLC, since three providers here hold those credentials, and whether an in-home visit carries a travel charge out in the county.

What to Expect from a Free Discovery Call

Most providers here start with a free first conversation, including the 20 minute discovery call at Baby’s Peaceful Sleep, Good Night Sleep Site’s discovery calls and The Golden Hour Doula’s free meet-and-greet. Because half of these options work remotely or match you with a doula from a wider team, that call is also the quickest way to learn who will really come to your door. Here are five questions worth asking.

Will you work with us in Windsor, and is anything in person?

Ask this first. Tired Mama Consulting is based in Windsor and offers an in-home package as well as virtual plans. Baby’s Peaceful Sleep and Good Night Sleep Site work with Windsor families remotely. The Informed Moms and The Golden Hour Doula list towns from Windsor to Leamington for home visits, and the Collaborative Doula Collective covers Windsor and Essex County but charges mileage beyond 50 kilometres.

What is your methodology, and how much crying should we expect?

Ask for the default approach and how far it bends. Tired Mama Consulting describes an attachment-informed method with every approach on the table. Baby’s Peaceful Sleep describes a responsive, family-centred approach. Good Night Sleep Site runs structured programmes, so ask about crying directly. The Informed Moms and the two doula options are not doing sleep training at all: they support feeding, recovery and newborn care, which often settles early nights.

What credentials and training do you have?

Sleep consulting is not regulated in Ontario, so ask for a named programme. Good Night Sleep Site’s whole team is certified through The Family Sleep Institute. Tired Mama Consulting and Baby’s Peaceful Sleep are both certified consultants and registered social workers, but neither site names the certifying academy. The Informed Moms are registered nurses and IBCLCs, and The Golden Hour Doula is certified through Doula School Canada.

What is included, and how long does support last?

Get the exact deliverables. Tired Mama Consulting’s plans include follow-up calls and two weeks of unlimited email. Baby’s Peaceful Sleep’s all inclusive package adds night one text support, two weeks of texting and four check-ins. Good Night Sleep Site’s 1:1 programme runs two weeks with four follow-up calls. The Informed Moms include two weeks of email after a home visit.

Want a head start before that call?

Take our free 3-minute quiz and walk into any discovery call already knowing your baby’s sleep profile and a starting plan.

Take the 3-Min Quiz →

Have you worked with a family like ours?

Whether it is twins, a premature baby, a feeding problem, postpartum anxiety or no relatives nearby, ask whether the provider has handled it. Both social worker consultants bring perinatal mental health experience. Good Night Sleep Site’s founder is a mother of twins, and The Golden Hour Doula supports families with multiples. The Informed Moms handle exclusive pumping and tongue tie questions. A provider who has seen your situation gives you a more realistic timeline.

How to Choose the Right Windsor Baby Sleep Consultant for Your Family

Three questions to ask yourself before booking a discovery call with baby sleep consultants in Windsor:

1. How hands-on do you want the support to be?

If you can follow a plan once it is written, remote coaching costs less and can start this week: Baby’s Peaceful Sleep and Good Night Sleep Site both coach Windsor families by video, phone, text and email, and Tired Mama Consulting offers a virtual plan. If you want someone in the house, Tired Mama Consulting has an in-home package, The Informed Moms come to you for feeding, The Golden Hour Doula helps by day, and the Collaborative Doula Collective covers nights.

2. What is your comfort level with crying?

Providers here start from different places and most will adapt. Tired Mama Consulting describes an attachment-informed method built around your child’s nervous system and your own capacity, and Baby’s Peaceful Sleep describes a responsive, family-centred approach. Good Night Sleep Site offers structured programmes, so ask what a typical first week looks like. The doulas and The Informed Moms are responsive by design because they support feeding and recovery rather than training. For more on how the approaches differ, see our guide to common sleep training methods.

3. How old is your child?

In the first months, the right tools are feeding support and rest, not training: The Informed Moms help with feeding, The Golden Hour Doula supports families up to six months, the Collaborative Doula Collective covers nights, and Baby’s Peaceful Sleep and Good Night Sleep Site both sell newborn packages. From about four months, the plans from all three sleep consultants take on structured work, and Tired Mama Consulting also supports toddlers and older children. A solid baby sleep schedule by age can also tell you whether the issue is just the schedule.

When You Probably Don’t Need a Sleep Consultant

Honestly? A lot of sleep struggles don’t require hiring an 800 Canadian dollar consultant. If your baby is generally healthy, you don’t have a complex medical situation in the picture, and you are dealing with a fairly common issue (a sleep regression, a nap transition, a schedule that just feels off), you can usually solve it with:

  • A solid age-specific schedule (we cover most ages in our baby sleep schedule by age guide).
  • Consistent application of one of the standard sleep training methods for 1 to 2 weeks.
  • A personalised plan from an app like Betteroo, or a free quiz like ours that gives you a starting framework.

If you have genuinely tried these for several weeks and nothing is working, or if your situation is unusually complex, that is when a human consultant earns their fee. One Windsor specific note: if your baby is under three months and the nights are mostly about feeding, start with the free breastfeeding supports the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit lists, or a call to 811, before buying a sleep package. Most full sleep plans here start at four months, and one feeding visit costs less than a third of a full plan. Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a baby sleep consultant cost in Windsor?

Windsor families typically pay 380 to 697 Canadian dollars for a sleep plan with follow-up support and 850 to 1,000 Canadian dollars or more for extended or newborn packages. Tired Mama Consulting charges 180 to 650 Canadian dollars, including an in-home plan at 650 Canadian dollars. Baby’s Peaceful Sleep runs 175 to 1,000 Canadian dollars and Good Night Sleep Site 99 to 697 Canadian dollars. Single calls start at 175 Canadian dollars.

Is there a baby sleep consultant actually based in Windsor?

Yes, one that we could verify. Tired Mama Consulting is run by Danielle Cyrenne, a certified paediatric sleep consultant and registered social worker based in Windsor, who works virtually and offers an in-home package. Other certified consultants, such as Baby’s Peaceful Sleep and Good Night Sleep Site, work with Windsor families remotely.

Can I use a Detroit sleep consultant if I live in Windsor?

Only if the consultant says on their own site that they work with Ontario or Canadian families. Several Metro Detroit sleep practices that appear in Windsor searches state that they serve Michigan communities only. Canadian providers also bill in Canadian dollars, avoid exchange fees and understand Ontario public health guidance, so we recommend starting with them.

Are there free newborn and sleep supports in Windsor-Essex?

Yes. The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit lists free breastfeeding supports, including lactation help from the Midwifery Collective of Essex County and La Leche League Windsor, and you can call HealthConnect Ontario at 811 to speak with a registered nurse. EarlyON centres across Windsor and Essex County run free programmes for parents and babies. None of these is a sleep training service, but they are a good first step if cost is the main barrier.

Will my extended health benefits cover a sleep consultant in Windsor?

Sometimes. Sleep consulting on its own is rarely covered, but Tired Mama Consulting and Baby’s Peaceful Sleep are both registered social workers, and both sites say their services may be claimable or list insurance-friendly billing. Many Ontario plans also cover IBCLC visits like those from The Informed Moms, who provide receipts. Check your plan before you book.

Do sleep consultants serving Windsor offer virtual consultations?

Yes. Baby’s Peaceful Sleep works entirely by video and phone, Good Night Sleep Site runs its programmes online, and Tired Mama Consulting offers virtual consultations and plans alongside her in-home package. Virtual coaching carries no travel cost and works well for parents in Kingsville, Leamington or Amherstburg who can carry out a plan themselves.
