Top 7 Best Baby Sleep Consultants in London, Canada (2026)

Mother rocking a sleeping baby by a window over the Thames River, baby sleep consultants in London Ontario

If you are looking for the best baby sleep consultants in London, this guide is for London, Ontario, the Forest City on the Thames, not London, England. The good news for Middlesex County parents is that the city has genuinely local options: a gentle sleep consultant who has served London families since 2016, a London based team of psychotherapists and social workers who coach across Ontario, and a Byron Village clinic that offers in-person sleep support without sleep training. Add an established Ontario sleep company with a London page and two London doula practices that will take the night shift, and the choice is wider than most mid-sized Canadian cities get.

We built this guide by checking every provider we could verify who genuinely serves London and the surrounding area, from Old North, Masonville and Hyde Park to Byron, White Oaks, St. Thomas and Strathroy, comparing credentials, published prices, methods and who each option is honestly best for. Below: six options worth a discovery call, an app based alternative for the long stretch, and a clear answer on when you need a sleep plan, when you need a night of sleep yourself, and what public health and EarlyON can cover for free.

Quick Answer

London, Ontario families can choose between local gentle sleep coaching and overnight doula care. Sound Sleep Consulting charges 150 to 695 Canadian dollars for no cry it out coaching by phone and email. Sleep Baby, a London based team of psychotherapists and social workers, runs 300 to 1,590 Canadian dollars and is often covered by extended health benefits. Rebirth Wellness offers in-person sleep support in Byron Village without sleep training, quoted per family. Good Night Sleep Site sells a 99 Canadian dollar DIY course and a 697 Canadian dollar two week program. For nights off, Grounded Doula Services charges 375 Canadian dollars per overnight and Dynamic Doulas of London 405 Canadian dollars. App-based alternatives like Betteroo deliver ongoing personalized plans for 20 to 35 Canadian dollars per month.

How London Parents Are Actually Sleeping in 2026

Before we get to the consultants, the local picture. As part of Betteroo’s State of Parent & Baby Sleep 2026, the largest dataset of its kind with 68,366 parents across 108 countries, we wanted to show you London-specific numbers. We do not yet have a clean London-only sample above our reporting threshold, so the figures below draw on our Canada numbers instead. They still tell a clear story about what families across the country are living through.

Numbers like these land hard in a university and hospital city where many new parents moved to London for Western, Fanshawe or a job at London Health Sciences Centre, and the nearest grandparent is a long drive down the 401. That makes it worth knowing exactly which options below will see you in person in London, and which ones work entirely by phone and video.

Full transparency: Betteroo is our product. We have included it on this list because we genuinely think it is the best option for parents who want ongoing personalised support without the price tag of a full consultancy package. The other six picks are established options we would send our own friends to.

How We Picked the Best London Sleep Consultants

We looked at every option for baby sleep consultants in London with verifiable credentials, an active practice in 2026, and a track record of working with families across London, Middlesex County and Southwestern Ontario. To make this list, a consultant had to meet four criteria:

  • Certified or formally trained in paediatric sleep, typically through recognised sleep consultant programmes or equivalent clinical credentials (registered nurse or midwife, public health nurse, IBCLC, or a recognised gentle sleep certification).
  • Active London-area practice with availability in 2026, or a virtual practice that explicitly works with families anywhere in Canada (we excluded consultants who have moved away or wound down their practice).
  • Transparent methodology, meaning they describe their approach upfront rather than hiding it behind a sales call.
  • Real client outcomes backed by reviews, testimonials, or media coverage we could verify.

We started from a list of more than twenty London, Southwestern Ontario and national sleep consultants, doulas and newborn care companies, then narrowed on those four criteria. Several names did not make the cut. A number of the top search results for London sleep consultants were holistic sleep coaches in London, England, which is a different city and country. A Kitchener-Waterloo sleep company does strong in-home work, but its own site names Waterloo Region and does not mention London. A national night nanny agency lists Toronto, Ottawa and western cities but not London. A London postpartum doula lists only an hourly rate, offers overnights case by case and names no training, and a Canadian sleep consultant who surfaced in searches gave no location or service area at all.

We did not accept payment, affiliate commissions, or sponsorship from any consultant on this list. Each pick reflects what we would recommend if a friend in London asked us where to start.

1. Sound Sleep Consulting, Best Overall for London Families

Sound Sleep Consulting is Hali, who calls herself the Sleep Wizard and whose site says she serves clients locally in London, Ontario and worldwide, supporting families from Canada since 2016. She lists herself as a Certified Child Sleep Consultant and a Level 2 Internal Family Systems practitioner, and says more than 1,000 families have worked with her. Her own story is the reason for her method: she describes being an exhausted, touched out mom who was not comfortable with cry it out, and her FAQ is blunt about it, promising no cry it out, no Ferber and no leaving your baby to cry alone. Every plan is described as attachment centred.

Coaching is done remotely by email and phone calls, so it works the same in Byron, Masonville or Old South. Prices are published. A one hour Power Sleep Consultation is 150 Canadian dollars and gives you a verbal plan plus her sleep foundations and emotional wellness tool kits. Starter Support is 595 Canadian dollars, tax included, for two weeks of direct support with email check-ins, and the most popular Private Sleep Support program is 695 Canadian dollars for three weeks with plan adjustments as needed. Both programs cover naps, bedtime and nights for children from about 6 months to 5 years, and her FAQ says she works with babies from 4 months. A free 15 minute call comes first.

Best for: London parents who want a local, experienced consultant with a firm no cry it out promise, clear published prices and a short program they can start right away.

2. Sleep Baby, Best for Parental Mental Health and Insurance Coverage

Sleep Baby is a London based team whose footer says simply Based in London Ontario, and whose sessions are virtual for families anywhere in Ontario. What sets it apart is who does the coaching. The team page lists Jenn Turkcan, MSW, OCT, a social worker and teacher certified in Triple P; Stephanie Briskin, MSW, a social worker with more than 25 years in early childhood; Aislinn Harrison, RP(Q), OCT, trained as an infant and family sleep specialist; and Somia Aslam, RP, PMH-C, a registered psychotherapist certified in perinatal mental health who also works in Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi. Because they are registered psychotherapists and social workers, many extended health plans may cover the fees.

The approach is gentle and responsive, and the site says it does not advocate cry it out. Plans account for birth experiences, NICU stays and medical needs, and there is real attention to how the parent is coping, not only the baby. Prices are published. The Foundations, for newborns up to 4 months, is a one time 300 Canadian dollar session with a 60 minute consultation and education on normal newborn sleep. For 4 months to 3 years, the Essential Sleep Solution is 990 Canadian dollars for two weeks with a plan inside 48 hours, text support and a check in, and the Complete Sleep Solution is 1,590 Canadian dollars for four weeks. A free 15 minute consultation is offered.

Best for: London parents dealing with postpartum anxiety or a hard birth alongside the sleep problem, and families who want to use psychotherapy or social work benefits to pay for coaching.

3. Rebirth Wellness, Best In-Person Option With No Sleep Training

Rebirth Wellness is a London family health clinic with locations in Byron Village, Hyde Park and on Central Avenue downtown, and its infant and toddler sleep support is run by Kasey, a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) and Canadian Certified Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner who is accredited in Neuroprotective Developmental Care. She is also a mom of two. Sessions happen in person at the Byron Village clinic on Commissioners Road West or virtually anywhere in Ontario, which makes Rebirth the clearest option on this list if you want to sit across from someone in London.

Be clear on the philosophy before booking. Rebirth says it does not offer traditional behavioural sleep training and will never ask you to let your baby cry it out. Instead Kasey uses the Possums Neurodevelopmental Care Program, working with feeding, sensory needs, daytime activity and circadian rhythm rather than schedules or timers, and sessions also cover parental anxiety, return to work and daycare transitions. The clinic also has lactation consultants and in-home postpartum doula support across London Middlesex, Oxford County and St. Thomas. Session prices are not posted, so ask when you book; direct billing to most major insurers under social work is available, and a free Q and A call is offered.

Best for: London parents who do not want sleep training at all, want an in-person appointment close to home, and like having feeding and postpartum help under the same roof.

4. Good Night Sleep Site, Best Budget and DIY Option

Good Night Sleep Site was founded in 2007 by Alanna McGinn, a Toronto based sleep consultant certified through the Family Sleep Institute and a familiar media voice on Cityline, CBC Radio and in Today’s Parent. It is now a team of certified consultants across Canada and the United States, including registered social workers and a registered clinical counsellor, and support is delivered online. The company keeps a London page saying it serves and supports the families of London, Ontario, with reviews from London parents. That page names a consultant, Laura Malbrecht, who no longer appears on the current team list, so expect to be matched with one of the other Ontario consultants and ask who on the discovery call.

The reason it is here is price and structure. The DIY Online Baby Sleep Training e-course is 99 Canadian dollars for a 90 page guidebook, audio lessons from Alanna and schedules for the whole first year, and you choose from the company’s approved sleep training methods. The SOS 1:1 Baby Sleep Program is 697 Canadian dollars for two weeks with a one hour consultation, a customized plan, four 15 minute follow-up calls, unlimited text and email and a daily online sleep log. There is also a self-paced newborn program for 0 to 3 months. Methods are more traditional than the gentle London practices above, so ask how much crying to expect.

Best for: London parents on a budget who are comfortable following a written plan alone, and families who want an established Ontario team with a short, intensive two week program.

5. Grounded Doula Services, Best Value Overnight Newborn Care

Grounded Doula Services is Keri, a London, Ontario birth and postpartum doula who has worked as a doula since 2018 and also offers virtual support. She is not a sleep consultant and does not sell sleep training. What she offers is the thing many parents in the first months actually need, which is a full night off. Her overnight shifts run Monday to Friday from 10pm to 6am: she feeds, burps, changes and settles the baby back to sleep, brings the baby to you if you are nursing, and does quiet chores if time allows. Evening shifts from 6pm to 10pm cover baby care and bedtime so parents can eat and unwind.

Prices are published and are plus HST. Overnights are 375 Canadian dollars a night for one to nine nights, or 360 Canadian dollars a night for ten or more, booked one to three nights a week, and twins are 525 Canadian dollars a night. Daytime visits are 40 Canadian dollars an hour with a three hour minimum, or 475 Canadian dollars for a 12 hour package and 1,150 Canadian dollars for 30 hours. Evening shifts are 45 Canadian dollars an hour, and a 60 minute video or phone doula call is 50 Canadian dollars. The site lists no named certification, so ask about training on the free consult. Payment plans are available.

Best for: London parents in the newborn weeks who need a few nights of real sleep rather than a sleep plan, and who want one familiar doula rather than an agency rotation.

6. Dynamic Doulas of London, Best for Twins and the First Week Home

Dynamic Doulas of London is a doula agency rather than a solo practice, serving London, Ontario and surrounding areas. Its team includes co-owners Sarah Hutchison and Lara Coward, both birth doulas, and postpartum doulas Tasha Gillies and Laura Datema, and the agency stresses that it has systems and backup plans so a shift is covered even if one doula is unavailable. Like Grounded, this is newborn care, not sleep training. The postpartum page is written for parents who need sleep most, and overnight doulas handle settling, newborn care and bringing the baby to you for feeds, plus breastfeeding, pumping and bottle feeding support. The site does not list individual certifications, so ask.

The pricing is detailed and built for heavier support. A nine hour overnight is 405 Canadian dollars, with bundles of 10, 20 and 30 overnights at 3,960, 7,740 and 11,340 Canadian dollars. Twins and higher multiples add 5 Canadian dollars an hour overnight, with twin bundles quoted on request. Daytime visits start at 40 Canadian dollars an hour with a four hour minimum. Two starter packages suit families coming home from London Health Sciences Centre or St. Joseph’s: The First Day at Home is 630 Canadian dollars for six daytime hours and one overnight, and The First Week at Home is 1,890 Canadian dollars for three six hour days and three overnights.

Best for: London families expecting twins or multiples, and parents who want a booked block of overnights for the first week or month home with an agency that guarantees backup.

7. Betteroo, Best App-Based Alternative

Full transparency: Betteroo is our product, so we have included it here for comparison but encourage you to evaluate it alongside the other options.

The biggest gap with hiring a sleep consultant, even a great one, is that the engagement ends. You get a plan, you get a few weeks of follow-up, and then you are on your own. But baby sleep doesn’t stop changing. Regressions hit at 4, 8, 12, and 18 months. Nap transitions arrive whether you are ready or not. Travel, illness, daycare, a new sibling: every change resets the picture, and most families end up rebuilding their plan from scratch each time.

Betteroo is built differently. It’s designed to stick with you, adapting to your baby and your situation as both evolve, with built-in tracking, insights tailored to your family, and ongoing personalised guidance instead of a one-time intervention. The idea is that you shouldn’t need to hire a new consultant every time something changes, or piece together advice from books, forums, and Instagram at 3am when something new comes up.

It also factors in you: how you are doing, your bandwidth, your comfort level with different approaches, not just your baby. Because a plan that assumes you are operating at full capacity isn’t useful when you are running on three hours of broken sleep. For London parents juggling hospital shifts, Western terms and grandparents down the 401, that’s often the difference between a plan that works and one that gets abandoned by week two.

A common path we see from London families: they start with Betteroo for the day-to-day support and personalised plan, and book a one-hour call with a consultant like Sound Sleep Consulting or Sleep Baby if they hit a specific roadblock that needs a human in the loop. That combination tends to cost less than a full in-home package and gives you ongoing support long after the consultant call wraps up.

Best for: Families who want ongoing personalised support that evolves with them through every regression, nap transition, and life change, rather than a one-time consultant engagement.

What to know: An app can’t replace having an experienced human in your home during the hardest nights. If your baby has medical complexity, or you know you do better with hands-on coaching, hire a consultant. For most families’ day-to-day sleep questions, an adaptive app does the job, and keeps doing it as your baby grows.

For a deeper look at how Betteroo compares to other app-based approaches like Huckleberry, Pampers Sleep Coach, and Taking Cara Babies, see our full review of the best sleep training apps for babies.

Where London Baby Sleep Consultants Are Based

Most of the options below are based in London itself, so the map shows roughly where each one works from. Rebirth Wellness has a fixed clinic in Byron Village, the London sleep coaches and doulas work from home bases across the city and travel to you or coach remotely, and Good Night Sleep Site is pinned at its Toronto base because it supports London families online.

Byron, Westmount and the southwest

In Byron, Westmount, Lambeth and the newer subdivisions off Southdale and Commissioners Road, the one place to see a sleep practitioner in person is Rebirth Wellness on Commissioners Road West in Byron Village, which also offers lactation care and in-home postpartum doulas. For a structured plan, Sound Sleep Consulting and Sleep Baby coach London families remotely, so a call from a southwest kitchen table costs the same as anywhere else in the city.

Old North, Masonville, Hyde Park and the university side

North of downtown, around Western University, Masonville, Hyde Park and Stoney Creek, Rebirth Wellness also runs a Hyde Park clinic for its other services, though its sleep sessions are booked at Byron or online. Grounded Doula Services and Dynamic Doulas of London both travel within London for overnight and daytime shifts, which matters most for families who are close to University Hospital and want help at home in the first weeks.

St. Thomas, Strathroy and the rest of Middlesex

Outside the city, in St. Thomas, Strathroy, Komoka, Ilderton and the rural parts of Middlesex and Elgin, remote coaching is the easy route: Sound Sleep Consulting, Sleep Baby, Good Night Sleep Site and Rebirth Wellness all work by phone or video. Rebirth’s in-home postpartum doulas list London Middlesex, Oxford County and St. Thomas, while Dynamic Doulas says London and surrounding areas, so confirm travel before you book any overnights.

How Much Do London Baby Sleep Consultants Cost?

London prices are published by most providers on this list, and they fall into clear bands depending on whether you want a plan, a coach or a person in the house overnight. Expect roughly:

App-based plans

Five of these six publish prices. Sound Sleep Consulting charges 150 Canadian dollars for a one hour call and 595 to 695 Canadian dollars for its programs. Sleep Baby runs 300 to 1,590 Canadian dollars, and Good Night Sleep Site 99 to 697 Canadian dollars. Grounded Doula Services charges 375 Canadian dollars per overnight plus HST, and Dynamic Doulas of London 405 Canadian dollars, with a 1,890 Canadian dollar first week package. Rebirth Wellness quotes per family. Two London specific things to ask: whether your extended health plan covers social work or psychotherapy, which can pay for Sleep Baby and Rebirth sessions, and whether the doula prices include HST.

What to Expect from a Free Discovery Call

Almost every provider here starts with a free first conversation, including Sound Sleep Consulting’s 15 minute call, Sleep Baby’s 15 minute consultation, Rebirth Wellness’s free Q and A, Good Night Sleep Site’s 15 minute discovery call and free consults with both doula practices. Here are five questions worth asking on that call.

Do you work with families in London, Ontario, and is anything in person?

Ask this first, especially since many search results are for London, England. Sound Sleep Consulting names London, Ontario and coaches by phone and email. Sleep Baby is based in London but works virtually. Rebirth Wellness sees families in person at Byron Village or online. Good Night Sleep Site is Toronto based and works online. Grounded Doula Services and Dynamic Doulas of London come to your home in London.

What is your methodology, and how much crying should we expect?

Ask for the default approach and how far it bends. Sound Sleep Consulting promises no cry it out and no Ferber. Sleep Baby describes gentle, responsive coaching and does not advocate cry it out. Rebirth Wellness does not do behavioural sleep training at all and uses the Possums program. Good Night Sleep Site lets you choose from its approved sleep training methods. The doulas are not training sleep: they settle the baby so you can rest.

What credentials and training do you have?

Infant sleep consulting is not a regulated profession in Ontario, so ask for specifics. Sound Sleep Consulting lists child sleep consultant certification and Internal Family Systems training. Sleep Baby’s team are registered psychotherapists, social workers and teachers. Rebirth’s Kasey is a Registered Social Worker with perinatal mental health certification. Good Night Sleep Site’s founder trained through the Family Sleep Institute. Neither doula practice names a certification on its site.

What is included, and how long does support last?

Get the exact deliverables in writing. Sound Sleep Consulting runs two or three weeks of direct support. Sleep Baby runs two or four weeks with text support and check ins. Good Night Sleep Site’s 1:1 program is two weeks with four follow-up calls and unlimited text. For doulas, ask about shift length: Grounded runs 10pm to 6am and Dynamic Doulas books nine hour overnights.

Want a head start before that call?

Take our free 3-minute quiz and walk into any discovery call already knowing your baby’s sleep profile and a starting plan.

Take the 3-Min Quiz →

Can our benefits plan cover this, and have you helped a family like ours?

Sleep Baby and Rebirth Wellness are delivered by registered psychotherapists and social workers, so many extended health plans may cover them, and Rebirth direct bills most major insurers. Ask too about your situation, whether it is twins, a NICU stay, postpartum anxiety or a return to work. Both doula practices publish twin rates, and Sleep Baby says it accounts for NICU stays and medical history.

How to Choose the Right London Baby Sleep Consultant for Your Family

Three questions to ask yourself before booking a discovery call with baby sleep consultants in London:

1. How hands-on do you want the support to be?

If you can follow a plan once it is written, remote coaching from Sound Sleep Consulting, Sleep Baby or Good Night Sleep Site costs less than in-home care and can start this week. If you want to sit with someone in London, Rebirth Wellness sees families at its Byron Village clinic. If what you really need is someone in the house overnight so you can sleep, Grounded Doula Services and Dynamic Doulas of London are the hands-on options.

2. What is your comfort level with crying?

London is unusually well served for gentle approaches. Sound Sleep Consulting rules out cry it out and Ferber, Sleep Baby coaches responsively, and Rebirth Wellness avoids sleep training altogether. Good Night Sleep Site offers a choice of more traditional methods if you want faster, more structured change. For more on how these approaches differ, see our guide to common sleep training methods.

3. How old is your child?

In the first three to four months, think feeding support, rest and gentle habits: Sleep Baby’s Foundations session, Good Night Sleep Site’s newborn course, Rebirth Wellness, and overnight help from Grounded or Dynamic Doulas all fit this stage. From about 4 months, coached programs from Sound Sleep Consulting, Sleep Baby and Good Night Sleep Site take on structured work. A solid baby sleep schedule by age can also tell you whether the problem is simply timing.

When You Probably Don’t Need a Sleep Consultant

Honestly? A lot of sleep struggles don’t require hiring an 800 Canadian dollar consultant. If your baby is generally healthy, you don’t have a complex medical situation in the picture, and you are dealing with a fairly common issue (a sleep regression, a nap transition, a schedule that just feels off), you can usually solve it with:

  • A solid age-specific schedule (we cover most ages in our baby sleep schedule by age guide).
  • Consistent application of one of the standard sleep training methods for 1 to 2 weeks.
  • A personalised plan from an app like Betteroo, or a free quiz like ours that gives you a starting framework.

If you have genuinely tried these for several weeks and nothing is working, or if your situation is unusually complex, that is when a human consultant earns their fee. One London specific note: if your baby is under four months and the nights are mostly about feeding, start with the free breastfeeding and newborn support from the Middlesex-London Health Unit or a lactation visit before buying a sleep package, and if you simply need sleep, two or three overnights from a doula may do more than a plan. For more on how app-based approaches stack up against traditional consulting, see our deep dive on whether sleep training apps actually work.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a baby sleep consultant cost in London?

In London, Ontario, coached sleep programs typically cost 595 to 1,590 Canadian dollars, and courses or single sessions 99 to 300 Canadian dollars. Sound Sleep Consulting charges 150 to 695 Canadian dollars, Sleep Baby 300 to 1,590 Canadian dollars and Good Night Sleep Site 99 to 697 Canadian dollars. Rebirth Wellness quotes per family. Overnight doula care runs 375 to 405 Canadian dollars per night.

Is this guide for London, Ontario or London, England?

This guide covers London, Ontario, Canada, in Middlesex County. Every provider listed either works in London, Ontario or coaches Ontario families virtually, and all prices are in Canadian dollars. Betteroo has a separate guide for London, England, where the providers, prices and public health services are completely different.

Can extended health benefits pay for sleep coaching in London?

Sometimes. Sleep Baby’s coaches are registered psychotherapists and social workers, and Rebirth Wellness’s sleep support is delivered by a Registered Social Worker with direct billing to most major insurers, so many workplace benefit plans may cover sessions under psychotherapy or social work. Coverage depends on your plan, so check with your insurer before booking.

Are there free newborn sleep and feeding supports in London, Ontario?

Yes. The Middlesex-London Health Unit offers public health nursing support and breastfeeding help for new parents, Health811 gives free 24 hour advice from a registered nurse by phone, and EarlyON Child and Family Centres across London run free drop in programs where you can meet other parents. None of these is sleep training, but they are a good first step when cost is the main barrier.

What age can I start sleep training with a London consultant?

Most consultants here begin structured work at about 4 months. Sound Sleep Consulting works with babies from 4 months, Sleep Baby’s coached programs start at 4 months, and Good Night Sleep Site’s baby program covers up to a year. Before that, Sleep Baby’s Foundations session and Good Night Sleep Site’s newborn course focus on healthy habits rather than training, and Rebirth Wellness supports sleep at any age without training.

Do sleep consultants serving London offer virtual consultations?

Yes, and most do. Sound Sleep Consulting coaches by phone and email, Sleep Baby works virtually across Ontario, Good Night Sleep Site delivers its programs online, and Rebirth Wellness offers virtual sessions alongside in-person visits in Byron Village. Remote coaching works well for families in St. Thomas, Strathroy and rural Middlesex who would rather not drive in with a tired baby.
