Mother holding sleeping baby by a window overlooking Longview and the Columbia River, baby sleep consultants in Longview

If you are searching for the best baby sleep consultants in Longview, the honest starting point is that Cowlitz County has no dedicated sleep consulting business of its own, and half of what a search returns belongs to Longview, Texas. What this corner of southwest Washington does have is a Vancouver doula agency that writes Longview into its own service list and publishes overnight rates, a Ridgefield doula with twin pricing, and a Chehalis lactation consultant and doula who serves southwest Washington by day. Structured sleep coaching arrives by video from Portland and Seattle, at the same price a family there would pay.

We pulled this guide together after working through every provider we could verify who genuinely reaches Longview, Kelso, Castle Rock, Kalama and Woodland, comparing credentials, published rates, methods and who each one is honestly best for. Below: six options worth a discovery call, an app based alternative for the long ongoing stretch, and a straight answer about which problems a video call can solve and which ones need somebody to drive Interstate 5 and be in the house.

Quick Answer

Longview families split between booking a southwest Washington postpartum doula and coaching remotely with a sleep consultant. Baby Nest Birth Services in Vancouver names Longview in its service area and publishes 45 dollars per hour daytime and 55 dollars per hour overnight, with a single overnight at 440 dollars. EnCourage Doula Care charges 45 to 60 dollars per hour including twin rates, and Lewis County Birth Works, run by an IBCLC, charges 65 dollars per hour for daytime support. Remotely, Slumber Time Solutions runs 447 to 647 dollars, Rebecca Michi runs from 150 dollars for a single call to 1,075 dollars for six weeks of coaching, and Sleep Wise Consulting runs 495 to 1,850 dollars. App-based alternatives like Betteroo deliver ongoing personalized plans for 15 to 25 dollars per month.

How Longview Parents Are Actually Sleeping in 2026

Before we get to the consultants, the local picture. As part of Betteroo’s State of Parent & Baby Sleep 2026, the largest dataset of its kind with 68,366 parents across 108 countries, we wanted to show you Longview-specific numbers. We do not yet have a clean Longview-only sample above our reporting threshold, so the figures below reflect our national 2026 numbers. They still tell a clear story about what families are living through.

Numbers like these land hard in a mill and port town, where plenty of new parents are working rotating shifts and the nearest sleep specialist is 40 or 50 miles down the freeway in another county, or another state. That makes it worth knowing exactly which of the options below will actually drive to Cowlitz County, and which ones you only need a decent internet connection for.

Full transparency: Betteroo is our product. We have included it on this list because we genuinely think it is the best option for parents who want ongoing personalized support without the price tag of a full consultancy package. The other six picks are established options we would send our own friends to.

How We Picked the Best Longview Sleep Consultants

We looked at every option for baby sleep consultants in Longview with verifiable credentials, an active practice in 2026, and a track record of working with families across Longview, Kelso, Cowlitz County and southwest Washington. To make this list, a consultant had to meet four criteria:

  • Certified or formally trained in pediatric sleep, typically through programs like the Family Sleep Institute, the Cradle Coach Academy, the Sleep Sense program, or equivalent clinical credentials (RN, MD, certified postpartum doula or Newborn Care Provider).
  • Active Longview-area practice with availability in 2026 (we excluded consultants who have moved away or wound down their practice).
  • Transparent methodology, meaning they describe their approach upfront rather than hiding it behind a sales call.
  • Real client outcomes backed by reviews, testimonials, or media coverage we could verify.

We started from a list of more than twenty southwest Washington and Portland area doulas, newborn care agencies, lactation practices and sleep consultants, then narrowed on those four criteria. Several names did not make the final list. The one doula we found listed in Longview itself offers overnight support at a low hourly rate, but is reachable only through a directory profile that lists self-training, one year of experience and no client testimonials yet. A Kalama doula and massage therapist names Longview, Kelso, Castle Rock and Woodland, but her work centers on birth preparation and bodywork rather than newborn care or sleep. Three well-known Portland postpartum agencies and a Vancouver doula partnership limit their own stated service areas to the Portland, Vancouver and Seattle metro areas. An Olympia registered nurse and certified sleep consultant has a site that has not changed since 2023, so we could not confirm she is still taking clients. And at least one Vancouver sleep consultant that surfaces in a Longview search is in Vancouver, British Columbia, not Vancouver, Washington.

We did not accept payment, affiliate commissions, or sponsorship from any consultant on this list. Each pick reflects what we would recommend if a friend in Longview asked us where to start.

1. Baby Nest Birth Services, Best Overall Option Serving Longview

Baby Nest Birth Services is the Vancouver, Washington doula agency founded by Sherilee Peters, who has been supporting families in Vancouver and Portland since 2006 and built the practice into a full team in 2012. It earns the top spot for one plain reason: Longview is written into the Areas We Serve list on its own site, alongside Clark County, Ridgefield, Battle Ground, Amboy and Camas. The office is on West 23rd Street in Vancouver, about 40 miles down Interstate 5 from Lake Sacajawea, so this is a drive rather than a neighbor. Its postpartum team page lists eleven doulas, and the agency says they work both daytime and overnight shifts. One of them is certified as a birth and postpartum doula through Birthingway College of Midwifery, with added breastfeeding and perinatal mental health training.

Rates are published as discounted cash prices. Daytime support is 45 dollars per hour with a three hour minimum, and overnight support is 55 dollars per hour with an eight hour minimum. Packages run from Bright Beginning, 12 daytime hours for 520 dollars, and Nurtured Night, one eight hour overnight for 440 dollars, up to Overnight Oasis, eight overnights for 3,520 dollars, and Strong Start, sixteen overnights for 6,940 dollars. The work is newborn care, feeding help, light housekeeping and supporting healthy infant and parent sleep habits, not formal sleep training. Because most of the team lives around Portland and Vancouver, ask at the free consult which doula would actually cover Cowlitz County and whether travel is added.

Best for: Longview and Kelso families who want a trained postpartum doula in the house overnight, backed by an agency with enough doulas to cover a sick day, at a rate they can see before they call.

2. Slumber Time Solutions, Best Gentle Sleep Coaching

Slumber Time Solutions is Marie-Eve Gagnon, a Certified Gentle Sleep Coach trained by Kim West, known as The Sleep Lady, and by her own account the first person in Oregon to graduate from that program. She has coached since 2014 and says she has helped more than 1,000 families worldwide. For Cowlitz County parents the work is remote: every package is built around a 90 minute video consultation, and in-person visits are limited to a 10 mile radius of the 97219 zip code in southwest Portland, roughly 50 miles south of Longview. Her additional training includes a pediatric sleep medicine best practices course at Brown University’s medical school and an infant mental health certificate, and she coaches in English and French.

The method is the Gentle Sleep Coach approach: a parent stays with the child and offers physical and verbal reassurance while the child learns to fall asleep, and she is honest that nobody can promise zero crying, only as little as possible. For babies four months to two years, three packages run 447, 547 and 647 dollars, each with the video consultation, a written plan, a virtual check of the sleep space and 30 days of follow-up with six scheduled calls plus email and text. The top tier adds two hours of text support on the first night. A 30 minute Sleep Strategy Session is 100 dollars, and the Right Start package for babies under three months is 147 dollars. A 15 minute assessment call is free.

Best for: Longview parents who want a recognizably certified coach, a method where they stay in the room, and a full month of follow-up rather than two weeks.

3. Lewis County Birth Works, Best IBCLC-Credentialed Newborn Support

Lewis County Birth Works is Marylynne Kostick, who signs her name with an IBCLC, DONA birth and postpartum doula certifications, a Lamaze childbirth educator credential and a master’s in public health. She has worked in public health with families since 2005, was born and raised in Lewis County, and writes that she serves Lewis County and surrounding Southwest Washington communities. Her base is Chehalis, about 45 miles up Interstate 5, and her town list includes Toledo, Vader and Winlock, a short drive north of Castle Rock. Longview and Kelso are not named, so confirm the drive first. Her FAQ says in-person support extends beyond southwest Washington and that virtual support is available worldwide.

What she offers is the piece most sleep plans skip: feeding. Postpartum doula support is 65 dollars per hour, with a four hour minimum in person and a one hour minimum by video, and her own description covers postpartum planning, lactation and feeding support, sleep techniques, meal help and sibling adjustment. She does not work overnights, and she is not a sleep trainer, so think of her as daytime expertise for the first weeks. A separate lactation support option is 200 dollars, delivered by text, email, phone, video or in person as needed, and a monthly lactation class runs on Zoom for 150 dollars. She also notes a pro bono option for parents 18 and younger and invites scholarship questions.

Best for: Castle Rock, Toutle and north Cowlitz County families whose sleep problem is really a feeding problem, and anyone who wants an IBCLC rather than a general helper for daytime hours.

4. EnCourage Doula Care, Best for Twins and Published Night Rates

EnCourage Doula Care is Jennifer Fisher, who has taught evidence based childbirth education for more than two decades and lists a CAPPA labor doula certification from 2019, a Stillbirthday doula certification from 2017, an ICEA childbirth educator certification from 2005 and breastfeeding peer counselor training. Her own site places her in Vancouver, Washington. Her DoulaMatch profile, updated in October 2026, puts her base in Ridgefield with a 40 mile service range, which reaches Woodland, Kalama and Longview on paper, and counts six years and 45 families of postpartum work. Cowlitz County is not named on her site, so treat the range as a directory figure and ask her directly before you plan around it.

Her postpartum rates are published and unusually specific about multiples. Day hours run 8am to 5pm with a four hour minimum at 45 dollars per hour, or 55 for twins. Evening and overnight hours run 5pm to 8am with a minimum of six to eight hours depending on location, at 50 dollars per hour, or 60 for twins. She describes night care as a way to get solid sleep even while nursing, with care of the baby, light housekeeping and meal preparation included. Her profile says postpartum care is available for singletons, twins and triplets. She sets aside three reduced rate packages a year for families on limited budgets and arranges payment plans individually. Sleep training is not something she lists.

Best for: Woodland, Kalama and south Cowlitz County families expecting twins or triplets, and parents who want a seasoned childbirth educator covering the night at a published rate.

5. Rebecca Michi, Best No-Cry Approach From a Washington Consultant

Rebecca Michi is a children’s sleep consultant who settled in Seattle after growing up in England, and she works with Longview families remotely through calls, email and text. Her site says she has spent more than fifteen years helping families, has worked with hundreds from all over the world, and holds a degree in child development. What sets her apart is her own technique, The Michi Method, in which parents stay with the child, pick them up whenever instinct says to and soothe however they need, with their involvement reduced gradually. She states that she never asks parents to leave a child to cry themselves to sleep. Her site does not name a sleep consulting certification, and her blog carries posts from spring 2026.

There are four ways to work with her. A 55 minute Pick My Brain call is 150 dollars, for children three months to six years. The More Support package is 675 dollars: a personality quiz, a week of sleep diary, a 90 minute planning call, a workbook, three weekly check-ins and one more call within six months. The One on One package is 1,075 dollars for about six weeks of weekly calls with email and text support, and carries a money back guarantee. The Ultimate Support package is 3,250 dollars and has her join the family for the first five nights of sleep training. The site does not say whether that happens in person outside the Seattle area, so ask before you count on it.

Best for: Longview parents who have ruled out any cry-it-out approach, who are not after a quick fix, and who would rather pay for six weeks of patient coaching than three hard nights.

6. Sleep Wise Consulting, Best for Long-Term Support

Sleep Wise Consulting is a national team of more than 40 certified sleep consultants, and it has no one in Cowlitz County. The nearest we found is Megan Kumpf, a Senior Sleep Consultant in Seattle who joined in 2018, with a background in early childhood education and years as a private nanny. Her profile describes a gentle, parent supported style and specialties in floor beds, moving babies out of the SNOO and feeding issues. Everything runs by phone, email and text, so Longview families work with her remotely on the same terms as anyone else. It starts with a free 20 minute evaluation, and you can also ask to be matched with the first available consultant.

What earns it a place is the published menu and the length of support. Baby packages are for children over three months and include a sleep needs analysis, a 60 to 90 minute phone consultation, a comprehensive plan, four follow-up calls and two weeks of email support. With a senior consultant like Megan, Basic is 545 dollars, Gold 770, Diamond 1,095 and Platinum 1,815, and a standard consultant runs 495 to 1,665 dollars. Prenatal and newborn packages cover babies up to twelve weeks, newborn twins included, with weekly calls through the first three months: 995 to 1,170 dollars for six months of support, or 1,675 to 1,850 dollars for a full year.

Best for: Longview families who want one consultant on call from pregnancy through the first year, parents of newborn twins, and anyone who values a long support window over the lowest price.

7. Betteroo, Best App-Based Alternative

Full transparency: Betteroo is our product, so we have included it here for comparison but encourage you to evaluate it alongside the other options.

The biggest gap with hiring a sleep consultant, even a great one, is that the engagement ends. You get a plan, you get a few weeks of follow-up, and then you are on your own. But baby sleep doesn’t stop changing. Regressions hit at 4, 8, 12, and 18 months. Nap transitions arrive whether you are ready or not. Travel, illness, daycare, a new sibling: every change resets the picture, and most families end up rebuilding their plan from scratch each time.

Betteroo is built differently. It’s designed to stick with you, adapting to your baby and your situation as both evolve, with built-in tracking, insights tailored to your family, and ongoing personalized guidance instead of a one-time intervention. The idea is that you shouldn’t need to hire a new consultant every time something changes, or piece together advice from books, forums, and Instagram at 3am when something new comes up.

It also factors in you: how you are doing, your bandwidth, your comfort level with different approaches, not just your baby. Because a plan that assumes you are operating at full capacity isn’t useful when you are running on three hours of broken sleep. For Longview parents juggling a newborn with mill and port shift schedules, that’s often the difference between a plan that works and one that gets abandoned by week two.

A common path we see from Longview families: they start with Betteroo for the day-to-day support and personalized plan, and book a one-hour call with a consultant like Baby Nest Birth Services or Slumber Time Solutions if they hit a specific roadblock that needs a human in the loop. That combination tends to cost less than a full in-home package and gives you ongoing support long after the consultant call wraps up.

Best for: Families who want ongoing personalized support that evolves with them through every regression, nap transition, and life change, rather than a one-time consultant engagement.

What to know: An app can’t replace having an experienced human in your home during the hardest nights. If your baby has medical complexity, or you know you do better with hands-on coaching, hire a consultant. For most families’ day-to-day sleep questions, an adaptive app does the job, and keeps doing it as your baby grows.

For a deeper look at how Betteroo compares to other app-based approaches like Huckleberry, Pampers Sleep Coach, and Taking Cara Babies, see our full review of the best sleep training apps for babies.

Where Longview Baby Sleep Consultants Are Based

No baby sleep consultant is headquartered in Longview or Kelso, so the map below shows where each option is actually based. That is the most useful thing to know before you start calling: three are southwest Washington practices within about 45 miles that can put a person in your house, coming from Vancouver, Ridgefield and Chehalis, and three work with you remotely from Portland and Seattle on the same terms as a family in those cities.

Longview, Kelso and the Lake Sacajawea neighborhoods

In town, from the Old West Side and the streets around Lake Sacajawea across the Cowlitz River to Kelso, the practice that names Longview outright is Baby Nest Birth Services, about 40 miles south in Vancouver. EnCourage Doula Care lists a 40 mile range from Ridgefield, which is closer still. Neither is local, so the first question is travel. Slumber Time Solutions, Rebecca Michi and Sleep Wise Consulting all work remotely, which suits a household running on a rotating shift calendar.

Castle Rock, Toutle and the north county

North of Kelso the nearest hands-on option flips direction. Lewis County Birth Works is based in Chehalis and names Toledo, Vader and Winlock, the Lewis County towns closest to Castle Rock, in its own service list, with daytime visits at a four hour minimum and no overnights. For overnight help this far north, ask Baby Nest Birth Services how far up Interstate 5 its doulas will come. Out toward Toutle and Silver Lake, the three remote sleep consultants cost exactly what they would in Seattle.

Kalama, Woodland and the Clark County line

South county families sit closest to the Clark County doula market. Woodland is roughly ten miles from Ridgefield, where EnCourage Doula Care is based, and Baby Nest Birth Services names Ridgefield, Battle Ground and Amboy alongside Longview in its service list, so Woodland and Kalama sit between places it already lists. This is likely the part of the county where an overnight shift is easiest to book, simply because the drive is shortest.

How Much Do Longview Baby Sleep Consultants Cost?

Pricing around Longview is set by the Clark County and Portland doula market, 40 to 50 miles south, rather than by anything local, and by sleep consultants who charge the same wherever you live. In-home hours cost less than in Seattle, but the drive matters, and remote coaching spans a wide range depending on how long the support lasts. Expect roughly:

In-home postpartum care

$45 to $65

Per hour with a southwest Washington postpartum doula, with overnight hours and twin care at the higher end of each provider’s range.

Overnight doula packages

$440 to $3,520

From a single eight hour overnight to a package of eight overnights with an agency doula.

Sleep plans with support

$447 to $675

A consultation and written plan plus two to four weeks of follow-up calls, email or text with a sleep consultant.

Extended and newborn packages

$695 to $1,850

Longer consultant packages, from added text support and six weeks of coaching up to a full year starting before the birth.

App-based plans

$15 to $25

Per month, for personalized, adaptive sleep guidance that keeps updating as your baby grows.

Typical cost of baby sleep consultants in Longview in 2026
Support typeTypical price
In-home postpartum doula care$45 to $65 per hour
Overnight postpartum doula packages$440 to $3,520
Sleep plans with follow-up support$447 to $675
Extended and newborn consultant packages$695 to $1,850
App-based plans$15 to $25 per month

All six of these publish prices, which makes comparing easy. Baby Nest Birth Services posts 45 dollars per hour daytime and 55 dollars per hour overnight, with a single overnight at 440 dollars and eight overnights at 3,520 dollars. EnCourage Doula Care posts 45 dollars per hour by day and 50 by night, or 55 and 60 for twins, and Lewis County Birth Works posts 65 dollars per hour. Slumber Time Solutions runs 447 to 647 dollars, with a 100 dollar strategy session and a 147 dollar newborn package. Rebecca Michi charges 150 dollars for a single call, 675 and 1,075 dollars for her two main packages and 3,250 dollars for her most intensive one. Sleep Wise Consulting runs 495 to 1,850 dollars. Two Longview specific things to ask: whether the drive to Cowlitz County adds travel or a longer shift minimum, and whether Apple Health, an employer benefit or an HSA can cover part of the cost.

What to Expect from a Free Discovery Call

Most providers here start with a free first conversation, including Slumber Time Solutions’ 15 minute sleep assessment, Sleep Wise Consulting’s 20 minute evaluation and Baby Nest Birth Services’ free doula consult. Because every in-home option is based in another county, that first call is also the fastest way to find out whether somebody will really come to Longview. Here are five questions worth asking.

Will you actually come to Longview, and what does the drive cost?

Ask this first, because it sorts the list fastest. Baby Nest Birth Services names Longview in its own service list but is based about 40 miles south in Vancouver. EnCourage Doula Care shows a 40 mile range from Ridgefield on its directory profile, and its site says the overnight minimum is six to eight hours depending on location. Lewis County Birth Works describes its area as Lewis County and surrounding southwest Washington communities. Slumber Time Solutions, Rebecca Michi and Sleep Wise Consulting work remotely, so distance does not come into it.

What is your methodology, and how flexible is it?

Ask the provider to describe their default approach and how far they will bend it. Slumber Time Solutions uses the Gentle Sleep Coach approach, where a parent stays and reassures while the child learns to fall asleep. Rebecca Michi’s method has parents pick the child up whenever they feel they should and never leaves a child to cry alone. Sleep Wise Consulting builds a comprehensive plan from a sleep needs analysis. The doulas are doing something different again, which is hands-on newborn care with routine building inside it.

What credentials and training do you have?

Pediatric sleep consulting is not licensed by any government body, so ask directly and expect a named program. On this list, Slumber Time Solutions holds the Gentle Sleep Coach certification, Sleep Wise Consulting certifies its own consultants, and Rebecca Michi’s site names a child development degree and her own method rather than a certification. Lewis County Birth Works is run by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and DONA certified doula. EnCourage Doula Care lists CAPPA and ICEA certifications, and Baby Nest Birth Services’ founder is a certified doula and Bradley Method educator.

What is included, and how long does support last?

Find out exactly what you are buying: hours and shift minimums for in-home care, or the plan and support window for a program. Slumber Time Solutions includes 30 days of follow-up with six scheduled calls. Rebecca Michi’s One on One package runs about six weeks of weekly calls. Sleep Wise Consulting ranges from four follow-up calls and two weeks of email to a full year of support. Baby Nest Birth Services sets a three hour daytime minimum and an eight hour overnight minimum, and Lewis County Birth Works a four hour minimum in person.

Take the 3-Min Quiz →

Have you worked with a situation like ours?

Whether you have a newborn, twins, a feeding problem tangled up with the sleep problem, or a partner on rotating shifts, ask whether the provider has handled it. EnCourage Doula Care publishes separate twin rates and offers postpartum care for triplets. Sleep Wise Consulting’s newborn packages include newborn twins. Lewis County Birth Works brings an IBCLC’s training to feeding trouble, and Slumber Time Solutions will add a second child to a plan. A provider who has seen your situation will give you a more realistic timeline.

How to Choose the Right Longview Baby Sleep Consultant for Your Family

Three questions to ask yourself before booking a discovery call with baby sleep consultants in Longview:

1. How hands-on do you want the support to be?

If you can carry out a plan once it is written, a remote program costs far less than in-home care and can start this week. Slumber Time Solutions, Rebecca Michi and Sleep Wise Consulting all work with Longview families by video, phone, email and text. If you need somebody awake with the baby so you can sleep, the realistic options are Baby Nest Birth Services and EnCourage Doula Care, both of which offer overnight shifts. Lewis County Birth Works is in-home too, but daytime only.

2. What is your comfort level with crying?

Providers here start from different places and most will adapt, but the starting point matters. Rebecca Michi is the firmest about it: she never asks parents to leave a child to cry themselves to sleep. Slumber Time Solutions keeps a parent in the room and aims for as little crying as possible, while saying plainly that no one can promise none. Sleep Wise Consulting tailors the plan after an evaluation call. The doulas are responsive by design, because someone is physically there. For more on how the approaches differ, see our guide to common sleep training methods.

3. How old is your child?

In the first twelve weeks, the right tools are newborn care, feeding support and gentle habit building, not training: Baby Nest Birth Services, EnCourage Doula Care and Lewis County Birth Works all work in that window, Slumber Time Solutions has a 147 dollar package for babies under three months, and Sleep Wise Consulting sells prenatal and newborn packages. From about three to four months, Sleep Wise’s baby packages, Slumber Time’s coaching packages and Rebecca Michi’s plans take structured work, and Slumber Time coaches children up to age ten. A solid baby sleep schedule by age can also tell you whether the issue is just the schedule.

When You Probably Don’t Need a Sleep Consultant

Honestly? A lot of sleep struggles don’t require hiring a 2,000 dollar consultant. If your baby is generally healthy, you don’t have a complex medical situation in the picture, and you are dealing with a fairly common issue (a sleep regression, a nap transition, a schedule that just feels off), you can usually solve it with:

  • A solid age-specific schedule (we cover most ages in our baby sleep schedule by age guide).
  • Consistent application of one of the standard sleep training methods for 1 to 2 weeks.
  • A personalized plan from an app like Betteroo, or a free quiz like ours that gives you a starting framework.

If you have genuinely tried these for several weeks and nothing is working, or if your situation is unusually complex, that is when a human consultant earns their fee. One southwest Washington specific note: if your baby is under three months, a full sleep training package is the wrong purchase. Slumber Time Solutions says outright that it is too early for formal sleep coaching and sells a short newborn package instead, and Sleep Wise Consulting’s baby packages are written for children over three months, so in the early weeks a doula shift, a lactation visit or a single consultation buys you more than a long program. Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a baby sleep consultant cost in Longview?

Longview families typically pay 447 to 675 dollars for a sleep plan with follow-up support and 45 to 65 dollars per hour for in-home postpartum care. Slumber Time Solutions publishes packages at 447, 547 and 647 dollars, Rebecca Michi charges 675 and 1,075 dollars for her two main packages, and Sleep Wise Consulting runs 495 to 1,850 dollars. Baby Nest Birth Services charges 45 dollars per hour daytime and 55 overnight, EnCourage Doula Care charges 45 to 60, and Lewis County Birth Works charges 65 for daytime support.

Is there a baby sleep consultant actually based in Longview?

Not a dedicated one. We could not verify a baby sleep consulting business headquartered in Longview, Kelso or anywhere in Cowlitz County, which is normal for a metro this size. The closest hands-on help is postpartum doula care from Clark County: Baby Nest Birth Services in Vancouver names Longview in its service area, and EnCourage Doula Care is based in Ridgefield. The nearest certified sleep coach we found is Slumber Time Solutions in Portland, who works with Longview families by video.

Can I get overnight newborn help in Longview or Kelso?

Yes, though it comes from Clark County. Baby Nest Birth Services names Longview in its service area and charges 55 dollars per hour overnight with an eight hour minimum, or 440 dollars for a single overnight and 3,520 dollars for eight. EnCourage Doula Care charges 50 dollars per hour for evening and overnight hours, or 60 for twins, with a six to eight hour minimum depending on location. Lewis County Birth Works does not work overnights. Ask each one about travel to Cowlitz County before you plan around a schedule.

Does insurance or Apple Health cover doula care in Cowlitz County?

Sometimes. Baby Nest Birth Services states on its doula pricing page that it accepts Washington Medicaid, the Oregon Health Plan and Carrot benefits, that HSA accounts can be used, and that it provides superbills for insurance reimbursement. That list sits under its birth doula services, so ask whether it extends to postpartum hours. Lewis County Birth Works notes that many health plans and HSAs reimburse birth doula support. Coverage depends on your specific plan, so confirm with your insurer first. Sleep consulting packages are generally paid out of pocket.

What age can I start sleep training with a consultant serving Longview?

Most consultants begin formal behavioral sleep training somewhere between three and four months, once babies can manage longer stretches. Slumber Time Solutions writes its coaching packages for babies four months and older and offers a separate package for babies under three months, saying it is too early for formal sleep coaching. Sleep Wise Consulting’s baby packages are for children over three months, with prenatal and newborn packages before that. Rebecca Michi’s packages cover three months to six years. Before three months, newborn care and feeding support are the appropriate tools.

Do sleep consultants serving Longview offer virtual consultations?

Yes, and for structured sleep coaching remote work is the main route in Cowlitz County. Slumber Time Solutions builds every package around a 90 minute video consultation, Rebecca Michi coaches through weekly calls, email and text, and Sleep Wise Consulting runs every package by phone, email and text. Lewis County Birth Works also offers postpartum doula support by video with a one hour minimum. Remote coaching carries no travel cost and works well for families who can carry out a plan on their own.
