Amy is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant who works with families to improve their breastfeeding experiences and offers support at every stage of the journey, from prenatal to postpartum. She earned a bachelor's in community & human services with a focus on infant and child development, a master's degree in human lactation, and a graduate certificate in nutrition, which allows her to assist patients with nutrition questions that often come up during pregnancy and postpartum. Serving Staten Island, NY and surrounding areas, Amy's goal is to provide personalized, evidence-based information with care and compassion, balancing the physical and emotional considerations of each family she works with; families of all traditions are welcome.
Services
Home visits and telehealth consultations (with an office space coming soon), plus breastfeeding classes offered on site in Staten Island. Telehealth visits run about 1–1.5 hours and are well suited to pumping, going back to work, lactation induction, and demonstrating latching and positioning techniques (infant weights and oral exams cannot be done via telehealth). In network with many insurance plans (inquire for specifics); a sliding scale is available and a superbill is provided for reimbursement.
