About Narchi
Narcisa Jovic (Narchi) is an IBCLC, veteran doula, co-founder of the doula agency NYC Birth Village, childbirth educator, and mother of three, living on the Upper West Side. She came to the US from Romania as a young adult in 2000 and loves bringing the wisdom of life and work experience to guiding new parents through the journey of raising a child. As of fall 2024, Narchi joined the IBCLC practice of her mentor, Cass Christopher. Her credentials include IBCLC certification (2024), an IBCLC clinical mentorship at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Craniosacral Therapy training, a Tongue Tie Experts workshop, and a Birth Doula certification. Services
During lactation consulting sessions Narchi provides hands-on support with latching, breastfeeding positions, and troubleshooting of various lactation challenges, plus guidance on bottle-feeding, pumping, and establishing a feeding plan. She also shares information on newborn behaviors and soothing/sleep strategies. She offers initial and follow-up virtual consults (60 min each) and home visits. Many health insurance plans are accepted through the Cass Christopher practice.
