Heather Shabestari is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Educator of Infant Massage. She completed her lactation training through University of California, San Diego, and an 8 month internship at Kaiser Permanente's outpatient lactation department. She founded Breastfeeding Consultants of San Diego, LLC.

She taught me all about lactation and when she left I felt like I fully understood how the body produces milk. She is so knowledgeable and professional! I was also concerned about my large breasts, but she made me feel comfortable and put me at ease. I contacted her after I delivered and she did another home consultation and helped me perfect my latch. She has made herself available by email and doesn’t hesitate to answer all my questions or offer her assistance.
