How Singapore parents choose

  • Every individual listed is on the IBCLCs of Singapore directory with an IBCLC certification number, checked on 30 September 2026.
  • Nine of the 11 publish their fees. Home visits run from $180 to $340 in Singapore dollars, plus a transport fee of $15 to $40.
  • Ten offer a video or online consultation, from $75 for 30 minutes.
  • All of them do home visits island-wide; one practice also has a centre at Tanglin Mall.
  • Blank fields mean we could not verify that detail from the consultant’s own site, not that it does not exist.

Good to know

Most feeding concerns are easier to solve early. If you are in pain, worried about weight gain, or planning a return to work, a single virtual visit often sorts it out. Your pediatrician is always a good first stop for medical questions.

Common questions Singapore parents ask

How much does a lactation consultant cost in Singapore?

Nine of the eleven listings here publish their fees, all in Singapore dollars. A home visit runs from $180 for 60 minutes to $340 for a 120-minute first visit, and most 90-minute home visits sit between $230 and $290. Almost everyone adds a transport fee of $15 to $40 depending on where you live. Video consultations start at $75 for 30 minutes. Every figure is copied from the consultant’s own fee page; where nothing is published the field is blank rather than estimated.

What is an IBCLC?

The International Board Certified Lactation Consultant credential is the highest lactation qualification, requiring supervised clinical hours and a board exam. Every individual on this page is listed on the IBCLCs of Singapore directory with her IBCLC certification number, checked on 30 September 2026, and the one practice listed has three IBCLCs on that same directory.

Do Singapore lactation consultants come to your home?

Yes. Home visits are the standard format here and every listing offers them island-wide. One practice also runs a centre at Tanglin Mall, and one consultant sees families at an office in Kaki Bukit by request. Check the transport fee for your area before you book; it is usually listed by district.

Can I have a lactation consultation online?

Ten of the eleven listings offer a video or online consultation, from 30-minute sessions for a single question to a full first assessment. Online sessions suit supply questions, pumping, bottle refusal and returning to work, and cost less than a home visit.

Is there free breastfeeding support in Singapore?

Singapore’s maternity hospitals run their own lactation services, and volunteer groups such as the Breastfeeding Mothers’ Support Group offer mother-to-mother support. The consultants on this page are private IBCLCs, useful when you want a long one-to-one appointment at home, often at short notice.

How do I choose between the consultants on this page?

Start with format and price: a home visit, a centre visit or a video call, and how long a first session you want. Then look at the extras. Several are also childbirth educators or postpartum doulas, one offers lactation massage for blocked ducts and mastitis, and one works in Malay and Bahasa Indonesia as well as English. Most include a week or two of text follow-up after the visit.
