How London parents choose
- These are non-clinical parenting coaches — they work with parents and do not diagnose or treat children.
- No BCBAs, ABA providers, psychologists, or clinical therapists are listed here, on purpose.
- If behaviour is unsafe, sudden, or flagged by school or nursery, start with your GP, not a coach.
- Credentials, pricing, and quotes are reproduced verbatim; a blank means we could not verify it.
Important
Everyone listed here is a non-clinical parenting or behaviour coach. They are not therapists, psychologists, or behaviour analysts: they do not diagnose, they do not treat, and they do not provide ABA or any other clinical intervention. Coaching is support for parents, not treatment for children. If your child’s behaviour is putting them or anyone else at risk, or you suspect an underlying condition, start with your GP or health visitor, who can refer you on.
Common questions London parents ask
What does a child behaviour coach actually do?
A London child behaviour coach works with the parent, not the child. They help you read what is driving a behaviour, then give you concrete things to say and do — around tantrums, boundaries, transitions, sibling conflict, bedtime resistance, and big feelings. They are coaches and educators, not clinicians, and they do not diagnose or treat.
Is a behaviour coach the same as a BCBA or an ABA provider?
No, and this directory deliberately excludes them. BCBAs and ABA providers deliver a clinical behavioural intervention, usually to the child. The coaches here work with parents on everyday parenting and are not licensed to treat. If you are specifically looking for a clinical behavioural assessment, ask your GP for a referral rather than using this page.
When should I speak to a clinician instead of a coach?
Speak to your GP or health visitor first if your child’s behaviour is unsafe to themselves or others, if it appeared suddenly or changed sharply, if it is badly affecting eating or sleeping, if school or nursery has raised a formal concern, or if you suspect a developmental or mental-health condition. In England that is the route into CAMHS and to a paediatric assessment. A coach can complement clinical care but is not a substitute for an assessment.
How much does a child behaviour coach cost in London?
Rates vary and most coaches sell packages or courses rather than single hours. Where a coach publishes their rates we reproduce them verbatim in pounds; where they do not, the field is left blank rather than estimated. Most offer a free introductory call, which is the cheapest way to test the fit.
Do these coaches work over video?
Most do, and several work exclusively online. Parent coaching translates well to video because the work is a conversation with you about what happened at home, not an observation of your child. That means a coach in Islington or Bromley is a realistic option wherever in London you live.
