Most feeding concerns are easier to solve early. If you are in pain, worried about weight gain, or planning a return to work, a single virtual visit often sorts it out. Your pediatrician is always a good first stop for medical questions.

How much does a lactation consultant cost in Dubai?
None of the four consultants here publishes a consultation fee, so the pricing fields are blank rather than estimated. All four practise inside a clinic or hospital, which sets the fee. Ask the facility for the current price and whether your insurance covers a lactation consultation before you book.
Where do IBCLCs work in Dubai?
Mostly inside hospitals and clinics rather than in private home-visit practices. The four on this page practise at Maison Santé in Umm Suqeim, Medcare Women & Children Hospital on Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Zahra Hospital Dubai in Al Barsha, and King’s College Hospital London’s Dubai Hills Hospital.
What is an IBCLC?
An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant has passed the IBLCE board exam after clinical lactation hours. It is the highest widely recognised breastfeeding credential. Two consultants here are also physicians, one is a midwife and one is a senior registered nurse.
Can I see a lactation consultant in my language?
Yes. Between them, the consultants here list English, French, Arabic, Hindi and Malayalam. Each profile shows the languages that consultant’s clinic or hospital page states.
When should I see a lactation consultant?
Book early if feeding hurts, your baby is not gaining weight, you suspect a tongue tie, or you are worried about milk supply. Some consultants also teach antenatal feeding classes, which help before the baby arrives.
How were these consultants chosen?
Each one is stated to be an IBCLC on the website of the Dubai clinic or hospital where she practises, and each facility’s Dubai address was checked. Consultants whose practice appears inactive, or whose credential we could not confirm on a primary page, were left out.
