Lactation Consultants in Auckland

Eleven of the sixteen consultants here publish a fee. Posted prices run from $65 plus GST for a Zoom consultation to $300 for an initial assessment, with most initial consultations between $100 and $180. Some fees are quoted with GST added on top. Every figure is copied verbatim from the consultant’s own site or their New Zealand Lactation Consultants Association (NZLCA) directory entry; where nothing is published the field is blank rather than estimated.

Yes. The NZLCA notes that there are publicly funded services in the community offering lactation support, which you can reach through your Lead Maternity Carer or Well Child provider, or by contacting your local maternity hospital or birthing unit. The International Board Certified Lactation Consultant credential is the highest lactation qualification, requiring supervised clinical hours and a board exam.
